Biography

Rob McGehee is program manager for the Walton National Sustainability Teachers’ Academy, a program within the Rob and Melani Walton Sustainability Solutions Service and School of Sustainability. Rob brings the insights of scientists and scholars at the School of Sustainability to life in K-12 schools across the country. Since the program began in 2015, the Teachers’ Academy has trained more than 1200 teachers in 50 states.

The hallmark of this program is that it goes beyond traditional teacher continuing education to facilitate the actual implementation of teacher led projects and programs in schools. As a result of Rob’s leadership, participating teachers have gone on to train over 2,500 other teachers in their schools and districts. To date, more than 400 projects are underway in various schools across the country.

Rob is currently pursuing a doctorate in Education Leadership and Innovation at ASU's Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College. He also enjoys hiking, bird watching and bicycling.
