Climate Conscious Leadership is a brand new intensive 6-week online certificate interactive program that combines the power of an award-winning author on leadership with faculty from the ASU College of Global Futures and the pioneering first-in-the-nation ASU School of Sustainability.
Most people today are experiencing climate change through cognitive dissonance. We know that there are seemingly insurmountable global challenges like plastic pollution in the ocean, drought and forest fires – yet we continue to live our lives in a system that perpetuates these things.
This dynamic online program is designed for mid-career professionals who want to take action on the climate crisis — in their professional and personal lives — but don’t know how. The program will focus on how to effectively become a leader on climate issues within your professional context, to be more strategic and conscious within your organization, and to understand how the broader global context translates into practice.
Course participants will build a network of like-minded climate and sustainability peers who will help each other reorient their professional and organizational consciousness toward sustainability and resiliency, with a focus on the planet’s climate system. This program will focus on the organizational opportunities that accompany our global challenges and develop individuals as conscious leaders for the climate movement.
Climate conscious strategies are smart business. This course will provide participants with tangible, applied tools that can be used in their workplace and personal lives.
Who should attend?
This program is designed for mid-career professionals who are interested in or have responsibility for sustainability, ESG, and CSR responsibility in large and small companies, non-profit organizations, and in the government sector. These individuals will form the cohort of peers that will serve as your new professional network for sustainability and climate issues.
