Biography

While Christy is enjoying Arizona's sunshine she is studying the growth of the Sun Corridor megapolitan complex and its implications for the sustainability of the area. She grew up in Lander, Wyoming, where the relationship between the snow in the mountains and the water from the kitchen tap was obvious, and wants to learn more about how institutions mediate that relationship between watershed and consumer in socio-ecological systems. Her dissertation is on the adaptive capacity of institutions in the water sector and how that capacity affects the vulnerability of urban residents.
