This program is designed to improve the experience of undergraduate students and support research teams of faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students. It addresses a limitation prevalent at large research universities: while offering rich and varied research opportunities, they often lack the close community of peer researchers found at small, private colleges.
This program is structured to meet the special needs of undergraduates for opportunities to build their professional and research identities and for interdisciplinary contexts in which to participate in the scientific research community.
Research Experiences for Undergraduates is a National Science Foundation program supporting participation in research by undergraduate students. This program engages undergraduates from across the country in research with faculty and graduate students at ASU during the summer.
