Research Interests:

While I am enjoying Arizona's sunshine I am studying the growth of the Sun Corridor megapolitan complex and its implications for the sustainability of the area. I grew up in Lander, Wyoming, where the relationship between the snow in the mountains and the water from the kitchen tap was obvious, and want to learn more about how institutions mediate that relationship between watershed and consumer in socio-ecological systems. My dissertation is on the adaptive capacity of institutions in the water sector and how that capacity affects the vulnerability of urban residents.
